Sleeping in airports

Did you spend your night in the airport before?~

As a matter of fact, I did. And I did it with a group of friends. It was an unforgettable experience for me and I guess it must be the same for them too. =)

Why did I suddenly bring this 'topic' up? Well, it is because my dad and I were discussing about airports a while ago. I recalled the time when I had to sleep in the airport.

This happened three years ago. (Time flies~)

I went for a 'kursus' in Ipoh with a group of students from other schools. There were two representatives from my school, including me.

Flying to Kuala Lumpur was not a big deal as it was in the morning.

However, flying back to Labuan was the problem.

Our flight back was quite early in the morning. (But I have forgotten what time was it.)

We left Ipoh in the afternoon of the day before our flight. It took us about four hours to reach KLIA. So, when we reached KLIA, basically it was night time. [Why did we leave so early? Hmmm... I had forgotten the reason~]

The time spent in the airport felt so long. It seemed like the clock (or maybe my watch / cellphone) took ages to strike midnight. During the night in the airport, I was hoping that time could pass quickly.

I used my backpack as pillow. But it was so uncomfortable. It felt hard. Sleeping in the airport was cold too.

Actually, sleeping in airports is quite common. When we spent the night at KLIA, there were also travellers sleeping on the benches.

And this sight can be seen at other airports too. (That is what I saw from television, especially when a flight was delayed or the people were stranded at the airport as they cannot fly back to their country due to heavy snow fall~)
