As mentioned in my previous post, I was quite depressed last week due to a fail presentation and a difficult test. I didn't prepare well and I was left to face the music. There were moments that I feel like breaking down. There were also moments when I kept on questioning my abilities.

Since this week is a holiday for us, I decided to go to Cameron Highlands. That was one of the wisest decision that I had made. Although it was only a 3 days and 2 nights trip, it really helped me a lot. When I came back, I felt quite relieved and I even dare to look at my low presentation marks.

Now then I fully understand the real meaning of the phrase 休息, 是为了走更长远的路. It can be translated as 'the objective of having a break is to enable one to continue his / her journey for a longer period of time'. After this trip, I feel that I am able to continue with my journey of life.

{Really a big thanks to my friend for the invitation and her family and relatives who are very welcoming and friendly. I ate A LOT during my stay in Cameron Highlands. I love her aunt's home-cooked food too. Delicious~ Makes me feel like going back to my hometown as soon as possible. :D}

Whenever I do a presentation, I will screw it up. Same goes to today's English presentation. I feel like killing myself after that. Haiz... Is it lack of practice? Maybe~ I should not stop practicing, i guess. Gonna change for like last presentation. No way I'm gonna screw up my most important presentation for this semester. No way, man!!! No way!

Besides presentation for English, there is also presentation for advanced function. Oh my, I don't want to screw my one and only presentation for this subject.

*I deleted my most important folder from my thumb-drive. WTH!!! Luckily I have a backup, but there are still documents that I saved but haven't back them up yet. [Crying in a corner~]*

#BAD11 - Volunteering for World Food Day

In conjunction with World Food Day, Taylor's Education Group has organized a Meal Packaging Event with Stop Hunger Now, a non-profit organization. We aim to pack 1 million meals for the hunger through this event. The meals packed will be shipped to Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines and many other countries. The meal beneficiaries are CREST and Harvest Centre.

The Meal Packaging Events will take place across four Taylor's campuses - Taylor's Iniversity Lakeside Campus, Taylor's College Subang Jaya, Taylor's College Sri Hatamas and Sri Garden Schools.

And yeah! I volunteered myself for a slot. It was awesome! Although I was filled with sweat, I felt very happy. The accomplishment of doing something that can change the world, even if it's just a bit, is wonderful. And plus, everyone was so hyped-up. The atmosphere was so encouraging.

I was in Line 16~ With this group of amazing people! :D

There are four items that should be put into the package. Firstly, it is a packet vitamin powder, followed by grains, dry vegetables (?) and rice. Rice must always be added the last.

Then a runner will bring the packages that are put inside a basket to the weighing section. The people at this section will check the weigh of each package. The weigh should be approximately 36 - 38 g (if I'm not mistaken~). The package will then be sealed and packed into boxes, ready to be shipped.

I initially was in charge of putting the rice in at the 'filling' line. Then I swapped position with my friend and I was the runner until the slot ended.

People view him as a great leader, but his actions and words make me sick.

Initially, I see him as someone who is bold, innovative and courageous. However, my mindset has changed for these few years. He keeps on minding others' business. His words are full of racism. And I finally realized some of his previous actions are carried out to fulfill his desires.

However, I cant deny that the worldwide recognition of our beloved country comes from his efforts.

[I'm not going to reveal the name. I don't want to be the last person to be detained under ISA before it is being abolished. :P]

*Malaysia will never surpass the G7 in the industrial sector. Hmmm... I'm not saying that we cant achieve Vision 2020, but to achieve the status of a developed country through industries is quite difficult. We are always a step behind. Not because we lack of talents, but the managements just sucks.*

RIP Steve Jobs

It is sad that the world has lost such a visionary and creative person. Steve Jobs died on October 5th 2011 at the age of 56 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Although I do not own any of his products (I'm poor~), it is evident that he is the one who shapes the usage of technology with the birth of iPods, iPhone, iPad. Walking down any rows of streets, there will be people using Apple products.

Mtr. Jobs, your contributions towards the technology world will always be remembered. :D

Infinite ♥ ♥ ♥

Infinite is stealing my heart. :P

Actually, I have noticed them since their debut with Come Back Again. I was quite impressed because for a rookie group, they are not that bad. [I was seen worst debuts. :D]

But what really caught my attention was when they promoted Before the Dawn (BTD) in January this year. The dance for this song is epic! It is called the scorpion dance. Whenever I watched a video of the live performance of BTD, I will get goosebumps. Seriously~ Although I like other Korean songs, none of them can beat BTD. :-)

Besides these title songs, other songs in their albums like Can U Smile, Amazing, Julia, Cover Girls etc are also worth to listen to. :D

I also highly recommend to watch their live performances. Their dance movements are so in-sync that makes me wonder how long did they practice to get such perfect dance moves. No doubt, they are really hardworking!

My Thoughts #7

We had our game assignment today. After playing other games, I felt that our game is not up to that standard. But my friend told me that ours is not bad too. Or am I being too harsh on myself?

I don't know how to describe this type of feeling. But since young, I always have the mindset that others are always better. I will then try to improve myself. But I am never satisfied. It seems like others are always better. =.=

My mom also always tell me that we should be contented with what we have. However, it never sink into me. I guess that's just me. :D

In a nutshell, today is a great day. (Maybe because I'm in an excited mood since the start. :P)

I feel like playing the piano now~ I havent touch the piano for a very long time. :(

December, please arrive faster. I wanna go back to practice my piano skills. (^.^)

To tell the truth, I am always wondering what will my life be if I insisted on staying in matrix. I just know that I will venture into science-related occupation.

Should I say I regretted or disappointed for coming to Taylor's? Maybe it crossed my mind a few times before. But I can't deny that there are many fun happenings in Taylor's. And I am not having as much pressure as I used too. No constant brainwashing by the teachers to score 4.0. No constant thoughts in competing with thousands of Malaysian students to get in to UM or USM. [I missed having those thoughts anyway. :P]

For now, I am thankful that my parents enrolled me into Canadian Pre-University programme. Besides the elements mentioned above, I learned many things too. I am also hoping to improve my presentation and communication skills throughout this programme. Last but not least, I met many wonderful people here. ^^

All I can say is make the best out of every situation. :D

WTF?!!

[Yup, the title is not typed wrongly, it reflects my thoughts for today.]

Gosh, what an afternoon~ =.=

So, basically went for the so-called student council meeting. This happened, that happened and BOOM!!! Yeah, we totally got humiliated. (Weeee... :P)

Truth to say, disciplinary board is unnecessary. Mr. President can control the meeting, right? Isn't that's what President's responsibility - to conduct a meeting efficiently. That's why I agreed on the point that there should not be any disciplinary board. It's totally awkward.

But WTH!!! Everyone is the meeting should now what's going on. Unfortunately, nobody knows because there is no official announcement beforehand. And the 'story' has a tragic ending. It's totally awesome!

Furthermore, I thought we are already in the council, since we are asked to come to the meeting. Seems like we are imagining things only. Yeah, I know, the reality is harsh.

Sorry to say that, but I am not going to ruin my awesome college life (at least it's awesome until now~ I don't want to get any antis. I just wanna party~ :P) just because of this.

But I will help out if they are my friends and I am FREE. [Notice the word in capital letters - FREE!] I don't mind doing that.

So long student council~ U just basically change a part of my life. Initially, I was really interested to join that to gain experience, build up my confidence and so on. But now, it seems like I need to rethink about it. Hmmm... :P

Contemporary Dance

I ended up going for contemporary dance. Gosh... Everyone is so awesome, except for me. I totally know nothing about this dance. =.=

I feel like I'm gonna burst into tears when doing the steps, but I try to control it. So embarrassing~ :(

The seniors are really very helpful. A huge thanks to them. [Clap! Clap! Clap!]

But I'm still VERY confused with it. The steps are so damn hard to remember.

Should I continue with it? Hmmm... I'm going into a dilemma again. :(

[By the way, why did I end up with contemporary dance? That's a secret. :P]

So, what is contemporary dance? I googled it [Ya~ Google is the best companion!] and here is what I got.

It's like a mixture of ballet and modern dance. And it is very expressive where the dance illustrates the meaning of the lyrics. It requires a flexible body, which I don't have. I have no idea why I went for it at the first place. I guess it's because my Id is telling me so. :P

Protect & Preserve Heritage Sites

The government plans to bring down those 100-year-old building along Jalan Sultan, Petaling Street. Officers from the Land and Mines Office show up at premises there to inform the shopowners or tenants of the land acquisition thingy. [Click here for more~]

I was like WTH??!! That is a heritage site, man! Don't the people-in-charge know the importance of their existence~ Gosh...

Actually, this is not the first time the government wants to tear down historical buildings.

Before this, Pudu Prison, which was built in 1895 by the British, was demolished for the sake of development. The prison has many amazing stories behind it. A documentary about Pudu Prison was made and shown in Historical Channel before it was torn down. I wonder why the government did not value its importance.

I never get a chance to see how Pudu Prison looks like. Now, I can only reminisce it through pictures and past stories without the experience of actually being there. :(

We always pride ourselves for being a peaceful multiracial country. However, we are lagging behind in many aspects.

One of them is the awareness of protecting and preserving heritage sites. Let's just take the nearest example - Indonesia. Indonesia are taking steps to protect the Borobudur Temple, one of the ancient Buddhist temples which was built in the 8th century.

You may argue that the temple is worth preserved as it indirectly contributes to the country's development compared to the Pudu Prison.

Yup, I couldn't agree more to that. However, the government can make Pudu Prison as a tourism site. As mentioned before, the prison was built by the British, we can use this fact to attract foreign heritage lovers.

And there are rumours that the prison is haunted. Why don't we also use this to get the interest of ghost busters or people who just want to test their courage for a night? :P

Who knows, maybe one day, it will appear in the list of the most haunted places in the world.

None of this will become reality anymore, now they are just nonsense talks. =.=

My Thoughts #6

Seriously, I don't like people who are judgemental. You don't even know those people you are talking about. Well, maybe some, but not all are like that. I am not being sensitive here, just wanna point out some facts. :D

I admit that sometimes, I will be judgemental too. I am trying to kick this habit. Unfortunately, I only managed to kick 80% of it. 20% still remains in my soul, which may errupt occasionally, but I try not to do it in the public~ :P

And that's why nobody is perfect. ^^

And I wonder, is saying 'Hello' indicated that I wanna ask a question. Why I got such reply? Well, I hope I was just being sensitive in this issue and you don't really mean it. Thanks a lot~ :D

Super Junior + 2NE1

Super Junior is back! I'm not a huge fan of them, but I can't deny the fact that they are awesome. The Super Junior effect, I guess. :P

Their comeback song, Mr. Simple has a similar style with their previous hit songs, Sorry Sorry and Bonamana.

It is catchy and easy to remember. And not forgetting their trademark dance moves. Sorry Sorry has the hand-rubbing parts, Bonamana has the hang-swinging parts (those who know their songs will get what I mean~ :D), while this time, it is the KEPRET dance. I don't know what does it mean, but the phrase 'KEPRET dance' was in the Twitter trending list, indicating the popularity of SJ around the world. But in my opinion, the dance at the chorus should be named as 'i-dont-care-what-u-think-about-me'. Haha... :P

When I first listened to the song, I noticed that some parts sound quite similar with SHINee's Lucifer, 2NE1's I Am the Best and TVXQ's song. I am not stating plagiarism here. Maybe because the beat and the chords are slightly the same. ^^

The lyrics of this song is quite meaningful, which is a bonus for me~

Move on to 2NE1, one of the popular girl groups. 2NE1 are just plain awesome! They are number 1 in my list of girl groups.

* I went to matriculation for about 1 month. Life was totally interesting! I so missed it now. The lecture hall, the tutorial rooms, the laboratories, the library, the toilets {Ewwww!}, the lecturers, my friends etc. Oh~~~~ I initially went there with a heavy heart, didn't know what to expect. I left with a heavy heart too, knowing that I won't have the chance to experience such life again.

* After leaving matriculation, I came to Taylors. [Yup, this post was written using the computer at Taylors. :D] I am taking Canadian Pre-University, which consists of 70% assignments and 30% final examinations. What a change!!! Gosh~ Gonna have to improve my soft skills.

The people here are amazingly talented. My Advanced Function class has many JPA scholars, smart people, don't play play oh~ :D While my English class has many good speakers. Their arguements always have a 'Wow!' factor on me. :P

Although it's already my third week, I am still adjusting to the life here. Life across the South China Sea is totally different. I missed my hometown! :P

Accept or not to accept~

I am in a dilemma right now. Accept or not to accept the JPA scholarship?~

If I accept, I will be tied down for more than 6 years with them. I know it will be good, as in the future, I need not to worry about finding a job.

If I was being offered what I want, I will definitely accept it without much worries, and plus I will have a secure job. But the problem is, I didn't get what I hope for. Should I sacrifice my youth just because of a secure job (no guarantee for this too~) and an amount of $$$ that my family can afford for a local university?

Let's see, after the bond has finished, I will be around 30 years old already. [Gosh~] I will not be in my twenties anymore. I feel like exploring all sort of stuffs when I am in my twenties. Will I be able to do that when I am bonded with the government?

My parents told me to accept it. {Parents are always worry about their children's future.}

But I am still wondering - Would I want myself to be stuck with the government for 6 years and above? Would I be able to challenge and improve myself, when I know that I will be having a steady income? Would I be happy?

I don't want to regret anything~

JPA results was released on the 13th May 2011. There was happiness and disappointment.

Well, I am in the 'disappointment' category. Haha... Let's just say that I didn't get what I want. I am not an ungrateful person, but with those high expectations before this, disappointment is not an option.

So, I decided to appeal. Percentage of success is so low that I don't dare to hope for anything. However, no harm trying. :D

While appealing for this, I have encountered different kind of situations.

One of the parties is very friendly and helpful.

I bet there are thousands of appeals for them to look through and they need to sort all the documents out as soon as possible. They even worked until late night just to do so. How do I know? Because I received a call from them at 7.50 pm. [However, I didn't manage to answer the call. Missed by a second~ Oopps...] They really work hard to help the Chinese community.

But are we grateful? Complaints about the party are everywhere, especially when an election is drawing near.

Maybe there are some bad apples, but don't let those overshadow the help that they have given to the society.

Be grateful~

Whereas another party was quite rude.

I started with a nice 'Selamat Pagi', hoping to get a good response from them. But judging the tone used by the officer, he doesn't seem too pleased to answer my questions. And his replies really pissed me off.

Well, for my first question, I asked it in a polite manner. I got a bit rude after that, totally fail in controlling my emotions. If there is an examination for that, I guess I will get an E~ Need to improve in that aspect.

There were also a few times when he cut off my questions and I cut off his answers. Come to think of it, it was quite funny. Haha...

These two weeks were very meaningful to me. :P

- Went for the Petronas Sponsorship interview in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Met many amazing people.

- Had a reunion dinner with my ex-classmates. They are leaving one by one~

- Went to explore Labuan island with my friends! Had coconut drink and satay after that~ Yummy... ^^

- Woke up at 3.30 am in order to go to the beach to watch sunrise. Stay for more than two hours there~ Awesome, right? :P

- Went to Peace Park and took many crazy pictures. Wish Nicole and Yvonne all the best in their college life. ^^

- Read finish two story books. One of them is as shown below. There are some law-related words which confused me. But no worries, because my dictionary is my best teacher. :P

- Successfully played a piano piece from the movie Secret [directed by Jay Chou]. But the piece is an easy one. Going to play another piano piece tomorrow. ^^

I don't know why, but I suddenly started to watch K-pop related videos that were 3 or 4 years back.

The videos were amazing. And things were a bit different back then. I can't explain the difference, but the feeling when watching the past videos and current videos is totally not the same.

During those days, TVXQ, Wonder Girls, Rain, Lee Hyori, BoA, Big Bang, Super Junior etc conquered the whole K-pop. I know that they are still the top stars now, but ...... I still can't explain. It is just different now. :(

My favourite video is the collaboration between Big Bang and Wonder Girls. It was pure awesomeness. Totally EPIC! No other collaborations can beat this.

I wish there will be a collaboration again in the future. :D

That Effing Show

I got to know this show through The Star, 9th Apr 2011 (Saturday) edition. That's the power of newspaper. :D

So, out of curiosity, I searched the show in Youtube [where else?~ ^^]

I watched a few episodes. The videos are mostly about Malaysian news - Sarawak Election, JAKIM's stance on Valentine's Day etc. And I can't wait for their #5o video. It will be about the hottest topic for this few weeks - the sex video! Haha... Don't get me wrong. I am not interested about the 's**'. I just want to see their comments regarding this topic. :P

Anyway, the content of the video is really suspicious. {I feel like commenting more about it, but I can't risk my life for that, right? :D}

Update: JPA Interview Experience

I was being shortlisted for the JPA interview that was held in Universiti Malaysia Sabah.

There were three time slots - 8 am, 8.50 am and 9.40 am.

Mine was at 8 am. [I don't think there is a need for me to explain what time I woke up etc. :P]

The list stated that there were 4 people in my group, including me. One didn't show up. But one of the girls who was supposed to be in another group came early. So, she joined us for the first session.

Conclusion: 4 -1 = 3 +1 = 4. Haha... ^^

I was the first one in the group. Blame my name for that. :D

2 of the girls are going for medical while me and another girl are aiming for pharmacy.

We went in, greeted the panel, which consisted of 2 guys and 1 lady.

Then it was the introduction part, in BM,

I started first. And when I reached my co-curricular activities part, I was being cut. The middle guy straight away asked me which course did I choose. Oh my~ I thought talking about co-curricular activities is very important, especially in interviews.

There was one unexpected question - Why Labuan is called Labuan?

Oh gosh~ I just said because Labuan is famous for 'pelabuhan'. Hahaha... ^^

Then it was an English question. What qualities you have to be a medical doctor / pharmacist? Just simply said only loh. =.=

Next question: If JPA send you guys to India to further your studies, will you accept it?

Of course everybody say yes. But I say 'boleh lah'. And I also stated that the studies of medical and pharmacy are highly recognised. And the English level in India is not bad. {I used bahasa rojak here. Kill my chance of getting the scholarship.} Then the middle guy asked me how did u know. I answered through internet and from mouth to mouth information. He also said that many people in India still don't know how to speak English. I just smiled. [Gosh... I should said that in urban areas, the level of English is high, because that is the main focus of the country economy.]

After hearing our answers. The panels told us how India is - the food, the lifestyle, the water etc. The two guys were happily chit-chatting. Seemed like they enjoyed it.

They asked us the same question AGAIN. I guessed they wanted to know if we are willing to go to India.

I didn't really answer the question directly. I just said, "If the university is prestigious, I will consider." Haha...

The 3 other girls mentioned things like experiences that obtained in India will be priceless and so on. Their answers are so professional.

There were no group discussions, no questions about current issues. I thought I can score some points from there. ^^

My mom said maybe they didn't want to see how knowledgeable one is, they want to see how confident one is.

Only 1000 candidates will be selected. Imagine the competition. I guess I won't have any chance for getting this scholarship. :D

Update:

Oh ya, I forgotten that there was another question in English - Do you think all straight A's students must take up medical course? Of course not, right? :P

I Should Pick That Up

You must be wondering what I am taking about. Here it goes:

I saw a guy threw his beer can on the floor after finish drinking it. So, I was thinking whether should I pick it up and throw into the rubbish bin. But there were many people there. I hesitated. And I walked off.

I don't know if there is someone who pick up the can. But come to think of it, I SHOULD pick the can up. Nothing to be embarrassed. Haiz... :(

So, the government recently announced that PPSMI (Pengajaran dan Pembelajran Sains dan Matematik dalam Bahasa Inggeris) MAY return. This shows that at least the government is listening to the views of the rakyat. ^^

A seven-year-old schoolboy died after he was being tied up and repeatedly beaten by a teacher at a religious school. I guess many of you have read this news. It was one of the hot topics this week.

When I first saw this news, I was shocked. I meant, how could a teacher, an adult, assaulted a child without feeling a sense of guilt. That boy must be crying in pain at that moment. Okay, so the boy was suspected of stealing. But how could the teacher did not feel a sense of empathy when seeing the boy suffered? Insane! He's not even a human.

Japan is hit by another 7.1 earthquake on Thursday. Oh my! :(

Hope Mother Nature will stop 'striking' Japan again~ Please...

Secret Garden Fever!

I was (and still) addicted to Secret Garden, one of the most discussed Korean drama in 2010. :D

I knew this show a long time ago, but I didn't watch it. Because in my mind, 90% of the Korean dramas are about a rich guy falls in love with an ordinary girl. I thought Secret Garden has the same plot too and decided to just let it pass.

I don't know what hit my head, but I started to watch this drama last week. ^^

Well, it turned out that Secret Garden indeed has that kind of storyline. However, there is a twist in that. A few strange events have occurred. And one of them is the swapping of souls between the two main characters - Kim Joo Won and Gil Ra Im. I love watching those parts because they were totally hilarious. Imagine a girl's soul in a guy's body and a guy's soul in a girl's body. :D

Childish me~

I was looking through my previous posts, those posts that were about 2 or 3 year ago. :P

Looking back, I was quite childish. [I am still childish now anyway~] Most of my posts were about me complaining this and that. I guess that I just love to complain. :P

I wonder what were my friends thinking when reading those posts. They must be bored when seeing similar posts - ONLY COMPLAINTS! Haha... Sorry~

But I also realised one thing - although I kept on complaining, I never quit. [Oh my, since when I am so 'muka tembok'? The effect of KAL-101, i guess~]

Yup, I never quit, either being a head prefect or involved in debate.

And I really appreciate the experiences I gained. Those valuable and priceless experiences! {Missing my secondary life now~}

Lastly, I will try not to complain so much! Since complaining only makes people get old easily. :D

Earth Hour 2011

Did you participate in Earth Hour 2011? Well, I did. :D

But I noticed that the enthusiasm this year has decreased. No publicity, I guess~

I remembered the first year I participated in the Earth Hour, which was 2 years ago. At that time, the Earth Hour phenomenon was everywhere. When the time had came to switch off the lights, I even heard one of my neighbours shouted, "Tutup lampu! Tutup lampu!" :P

While last year I didn't really participate. I went for Chemistry extra class. :D

To those who think that Earth Hour is just a waste of time. You are totally wrong. Okay, it is undeniable that by just switching off the lights for an hour, the electricity bill for this month will not have any changes. However, it creates an awareness to all the people around the world. It tells them that ignorance is not a bliss. Mother Earth is in jeopardy and if we continue to keep silence, the future of Mother Earth and all of us will be bleak.

Results Day!

As a 93-er, I was very anxious this morning. Results day!

At first, I planned to have a haircut. My mom ordered me to do that because she thinks that my hair is in a mess. :P

But at around 8.45 am, I received a call from my teacher. He asked me to go to school as soon as possible. I was shocked but excited too. Being called by school oh~ Must be something different. :P

So, I canceled my appointment. :D

Anyway, I just cut it short. I was surprised when seeing my results. Seriously~ I never expect to get such results actually. I even prepared myself for the worst.

Thank God for letting me have such good results!

First, I would like to thank my parents for their support and encouragement. They always tell me to believe in myself too. :P

Secondly, a big thanks to my teachers for their dedication and unselfishness in passing down the knowledge to all of us.

And last but not least, thank you to my all my friends. [Hehe.... ^^ Just like winning an Oscar award~]

I encountered an unhappy moment today. It spoilt my day a bit. However, I would treat it as a lesson for the future. :D

So, everything is officially over. Now, the future is waiting for us. There is a new chapter to explore and embark. What and how will it be?

On 11th March 2011 (Friday), a 8.9 magnitude earthquake struck Japan. It was one of the strongest earthquake in recorded history.

According to the Associated Press, a massive 23-foot tsunami also hit the coast of Sendai.

It was horrible. Look at the pictures below.

See the difference between the coast of Sendai after the catastrophe. Gosh! The damage was done in a few hours time, but it takes decades to restore it back to its usual view again.

Not only that, the earthquake had caused an explosion at the nuclear reactor in Fukushima Daiichi. This explosion may lead to a possible meltdown at the nuclear plant. If this happens, another Three Mile or Chernobyl incident is going to happen. But until now, nothing happen yet. Let's hope that Japan won't be hit with another disaster again. [Praying~]

Residents being checked for radiation level in their body after being evacuated from the surrounding areas of the nuclear plant.

The death toll for this catastrophic event is estimated to be 10000. But I am not sure about the confirmed numbers.

Big Bang is BACK!

Big Bang is back! I know, I know~ It has been almost 2 weeks since their new mini-album, Tonight, is released, but I think this title is the most suitable for my post. :D

I am not even a VIP, but I think Big Bang is awesome. ^^

G-Dragon, TaeYang, T.O.P, Seungri and Daesang~ {T.O.P always reminds me of the detergent. :P}

Education Fair

I went to KK on last Friday and Saturday for a teeth appointment and a dinner.

Yup, I want to have braces so that my smile will be nicer. :D

I came across an advertisement of the Education Fair while in Suria. The Education Fair is a two-day event organised by StudyMalaysia.com.

Since I had nothing to do on Saturday morning, I decided to take a look.

There were many booths at the Education Fair, like HELP University College, INTI International University & Colleges, Nilai University College and many more.

Career Guidance Talks were given out too. But I didn't listen to any of it. While the talks that I am interested in would only be on Sunday, but I'm back to Labuan already. =.=

There was an "Interest & Personality Test" conducted by a counsellor.

I took the test, hoping to know myself better so that I will know what am I suitable to study. [I am still in a dilemma now.]

There are about 190 Yes or No questions to answer. And the counsellor will 'evaluate' you based on your answers.

I'm not trying to say that the counsellor is not good. But what the counsellor told me was those things that I had known for a long time. I need REALLY GOOD advice so that I can make up my mind, especially results are coming out soon.

[On a positive note, does it mean that I know myself well? :P]

I saw from my Facebook that one of my ex-classmates saw me at the Education Fair. But I didn't see her. :(

I should pay more attention to the surrounding areas. :D

What a Crazy Night!

Looking at the title, some of you might be thinking that I went to the Dataran for the Federal Day event.

However, I didn’t go there. Instead I was working. And what a crazy night I had! There were so many customers. Damn! The queue was until the place selling dessert. [Maybe not over, but definitely until there.] 3 counters were opened to serve customers!

Not only that, customers came in consistently. After all the customers had cleared, I was like “Finally! Can rest for a while.” My happiness only lasted for about 10 seconds. Because afther that, another batch of customers went in again. =.=

There was even once all 3 counters did not have any trays to serve to the customers who were dining in. Imagine that. All 3 counters!

Definitely a crazy night. I think I might explode at the moment. Everything was not in order. I wanted hot water to make tea for customers, there was none. And when I wanted to throw rubbish, there was no dustbins.

It really tasted my patience. And I finally knew that working under pressure is not an easy task to do. I still need to smile to the customers without them knowing that I am going to explode. :P

I did a few mistakes too. Haiz... =.= I was hoping to avoid those, but in the end, it still happened. :(

I know I should be in bed at this hour. But I just have to recommend this video.

I saw this video circulating in Facebook. Out of curiosity, I clicked it.

I was shocked. Not because of the content, but because the guy in the video is talking like a bullet train. If I was not listening to him properly, I can't figure it out what is he talking. (I don't think it should be called talking, it should be 'firing'. :P)

Well, that is not the point. :D

The point is ----- what the guy was 'firing' in the video is ABSOLUTELY true. You don't need a boyfriend to feel good! Being single is just awesome! :D

Don't wanna talk so much about it. It is better for you to watch for yourself. ^^

My Thoughts #3

Seeing them leaving reminds me of Vicky and Alison. Hope they are doing well in Australia.

Not only that, it brought back my school days memories. Those moments everybody were together having fun, LOL-ing like insane people [:P], being scolded by teachers etc. Those memories are definitely precious.

It also serves as a wake-up call. It suddenly reminds that everyone has grown up. All of us are gonna take different paths now. In the future, we may cross paths again. And I will be waiting for that day to come true.

And I also realised that those who were part of my 11 years of school life are leaving, one by one. Only memories are left.

Those feelings. Those emotions. Those memories. They are indescribable with words.

I admit that I'm not a person who are good with words. I don't really know that art of communication. Sometimes, my words may hurt or I may act like 'I Don't Care', but I really appreciate everyone that appear in my life. This is because all of them are a part of who I am now. ^^

I don't know why, but I just wanna blog something random.

Well, first of all, I'm a K-pop fan. (Many of my friends knew this already.)

And I found out that those idols whom I quite like are talented. How should I put it? Hmmm...

Take for example, Yoon DooJoon of BEAST [Oh~ BEAST again]. He is my bias in BEAST. And he is definitely an all-rounder in the entertainment industry.

He can sing. Maybe not the best, but at least he knows to hit those note accurately.

He can dance. He may not be the best dancer, but he has moves too.

He can play the piano and compose song. The song "When the Door Closes" is composed by him and Dongwoon, another BEAST member.

He can act. He is starred in MBC's All My Love and More Charming by the Day. I watched about 20 episodes of All My Love but in the end I gave up due to laziness.

He has a sense of humour too. :D

Another one is Junsu from 2PM. When I first watch 2PM's performances, I was impressed with his vocals. [I knew he is talented. :P]

But the news of him becoming a composer and producer really impressed me. :D

He composed and produced an original soundtrack, Don't Go for Dream High.

And he also presented a song that he composed 4 years ago to a female singer. The song turns out to be a duet between both of them. =)

Producer JunK.! How cool is that~ :D

[This quote tells me just to be myself. Why?! Because I am unique and original. No one can replace me in this world. Even my look alike will not be able to do that~]

[This quote really helps to keep me from 'exploding' when I am working. There are a few not-so-good moments, so I always keep on reminding myself this quote. It works!]

[I always had a habit of saying 'tiring'. After looking at this quote, I realised that if I keep on saying that I am tired, I really look pitiful. This is also another quote that keep me going, especially when I am working. :D]

Talented Youtubers

It has been a long time since I updated my blog. =)

I have been wondering what should I post and suddenly the phrase 'Talented Youtubers' appeared in my mind.

There are a few Youtubers whom I admire. Their talents are just pure awesomeness. Watching their videos just show how insignificant I am. :P

1. Kurt Hugo Schneider

Kurt is just so talented.

He is the director of a few music videos - Sam Tsui's Dont Want An Ending and the latest one was Alex Goot's Pretty Eyes. (The videos are available at his channel.)

Not only that, he can play many different kinds of instruments - piano, guitar, drum, recorder etc.

Furthermore, he is just full of creativity. Imagine playing Pachelbel's Canon in D using a cellphone... Well, he did that~

And I just love how he always shows his friends' talents in his videos.

He has a bunch of talented friends. Take for example, Sam Tsui, the guy who appear in most of his videos, has an awesome voice. The way he hits those high notes always gives me the goosebumps. And Jake Brune, his roommate, is as talented as him too.

What can I say - talented people attract talented people.

He and his friends made a few series of College Musical!!. By themselves. Wow!!!

{Looks like I introduced two talented guys at the same time. Killing two birds with one stone~ :P)

2. Sungha Jung

My friend posted a video of him playing Bruno Mars' Grenade with his guitar in one of the social networking sites. (This is the same friend who introduced Kurt & Sam to me~ :D)

I was totally mesmerized by his guitar skills. One word: EPIC!!! And the fact that he is just 15 years old makes it even totally unbelievable!

He doesn't sing in his videos, but he 'sings' with his guitar. Believe me, the sound from his guitar can even beat some of the singers. :P [Oh, I really admire his guitar skills.]

3. Michelle Phan

My friend (not the same friend by the way~ :D) introduced Michelle Phan to me. She is a make-up artist and she teaches make-up tips in her videos. To those who want to learn make-up, her videos are worth watching. :P

Well, I seldom watched her videos (just once in a while~), but I think she is talented. She started off by posting make-up tips in Youtube, and now she is a spoke-person for Lancome.

Geez…

I was being blamed for something that I didn’t even know have to do.

She (this is not referring to my readers) just asked me to transfer the food from its original place to another place without telling me the reasons. (Yup, I am working~)

I thought the food / orders will be taken by other runners. So, I just leave it at its original position. I don’t know that those orders should be transferred to another place to prevent them from getting cold. Nobody tell me, how should I know? I am just a beginner anyway. And she also knows that I am new, why don’t she just tell me what am I suppose to do? Don’t tell me she expect me to know everything?!

She didn't tell me the right thing to do, but she told the supervisor that I was not doing my job properly. Geez…

Furthermore, she told the supervisors that I was ignoring her and not giving any responds.

I only heard she said, “Mau apa lagi?” or something like that. She was quite far away while saying that and she didn’t even call my name, how would I know that she was calling me? There were a few people there too.

And is not like I didn’t respond her ON PURPOSE. When she said something that is similar to my name (I guess she doesn't know my name~) or when she said the word ‘runner’, I responded. This is because I knew that she was calling me.

Or maybe sometimes she did call me and I didn’t hear it. But at the time, I was busy assembling customers’ orders and I had to remember their orders.

When I am concentrating on something, sometime I can’t hear people calling me. It just happens naturally. I also don’t know why I will act like that. Maybe because it is a habit I had since young. When I was studying, I tried to ignore the things that happen around me and fully focused on my studies. Sometimes when my friends call my name, I also couldn't hear them. (Sorry… XP)

And now I was being accused. Geez…

If she was not satisfied, why don’t she just tell me about my mistakes? Is it necessary for her to make a big deal out of this?

Haiz… Don’t care lah~ If anyone asks about it tomorrow, I will just tell them the reasons. If no one asks, then just let it be. I don’t want to ruin my time there just because of this small issue. And if she want to ‘cari pasal’ again, pandai2 lah her. (Haha… I sound like a gangster~ XD)

Sleeping in airports

Did you spend your night in the airport before?~

As a matter of fact, I did. And I did it with a group of friends. It was an unforgettable experience for me and I guess it must be the same for them too. =)

Why did I suddenly bring this 'topic' up? Well, it is because my dad and I were discussing about airports a while ago. I recalled the time when I had to sleep in the airport.

This happened three years ago. (Time flies~)

I went for a 'kursus' in Ipoh with a group of students from other schools. There were two representatives from my school, including me.

Flying to Kuala Lumpur was not a big deal as it was in the morning.

However, flying back to Labuan was the problem.

Our flight back was quite early in the morning. (But I have forgotten what time was it.)

We left Ipoh in the afternoon of the day before our flight. It took us about four hours to reach KLIA. So, when we reached KLIA, basically it was night time. [Why did we leave so early? Hmmm... I had forgotten the reason~]

The time spent in the airport felt so long. It seemed like the clock (or maybe my watch / cellphone) took ages to strike midnight. During the night in the airport, I was hoping that time could pass quickly.

I used my backpack as pillow. But it was so uncomfortable. It felt hard. Sleeping in the airport was cold too.

Actually, sleeping in airports is quite common. When we spent the night at KLIA, there were also travellers sleeping on the benches.

And this sight can be seen at other airports too. (That is what I saw from television, especially when a flight was delayed or the people were stranded at the airport as they cannot fly back to their country due to heavy snow fall~)

♥ I followed B2STLYTWEETS to know what is the meaning of the tweets tweeted by BEAST members. (But I only followed DooJoon~) After reading the translations, I realised that they are...... Hmmm... How should I put it? REAL?! Haha... XD

♥ I even have a blog post dedicated to BEAST. And there is none for SHINee. (But I promise, there will be one for SHINee one day.)

♥ I have more songs by BEAST, compared to SHINee's.

♥ I told my brothers many times that BEAST is coming to Malaysia with G.NA and 4Minute on 13th January. ^^

My Thoughts #2

Today is the third day of 2011. So fast... =.=

I have the intention to work while waiting for my SPM results. Yesterday, I saw there is a notice at a food outlet (better don't mention the name~) stating that there is an open interview on Monday to Friday, from 11 am to 3 pm. So, I decided to give it a try.

I went there today at 12 pm and told one of the workers that I came for the interview. While waiting alone (seems like I am the only one went for the interview. =.=), I saw him talked to a few people.

Lastly, he told me that the manager was not in. Geez... [I wonder why he didn't tell me on the spot that the manager was not there.]

He then asked me to leave my contact and said that someone will call me, either today or tomorrow. Until now, I haven't receive a call. So, I guess that the food outlet does not want any temporary worker and that is the only polite way to 'get rid of me'. Haha... =)

Nevermind, I will try other job. ^^

I read a book by 张小娴 today. This is the first time I read this type of book and it is also the first Chinese story book that I finished reading in one day.

It is a book about love, betrayal, affairs. And there are a few pages that are 18sx. Haha... I am going to be 18 in one week time anyway.

But I never expected it as the title of the book sounds 'innocent' - 蝴蝶过期居留. There are three stories in the book - 那年的梦想、蝴蝶过期居留 and 魔法蛋糕店. The characters in the story are related. How should I put it? Hmmm... The characters have some connections with each other - either they are friends, family members, lovers, cousins etc.

But the main theme of these three stories is love.

I think I am currently obsessed in making stars. I bought three packets of the stars and folded all in one week. Haha... ^^

My Thoughts #1

This is my second post for the year 2011. Just wanna express some of my thoughts.

The first one is is regrading the countdown in the Sea Sports Complex. I went there with Tse Ching, Fatin and her cousin. And the scene was horrible. Rubbish can be seen everywhere. Yucks!!!

Plastic bags, plastics cup and polystyrene were on the chairs and pavements. Frankly speaking, I didn't see any rubbish bins around. But that is definitely not the reason to throw rubbish all over the place. They can just hold their rubbish and try to find a rubbish bin anyway. Geez...

I guess that the workers will definitely have a hard time cleaning up the place. And is also wrong to think that just because there are workers, one can just throw rubbish everywhere.

The second one is about the accident that involved six teenagers. The is totally one of the worst accidents happened in Labuan. And it happened at Taman Miramar, just near my house. The driver of the Prado car is a only a 13-year-old girl. There were 6 of them inside the car - one girl and five boys who are around the age of 13 to 15. (So young...)

Two trees and a lamp post were being knocked. Looking at picture of the damaged car, the impact must be huge.

Unfortunately, there were deaths in this accident. Two boys lost their life in the accident.

I heard that the accident happened at about 3 am in the morning. But the ambulans only arrived at about 5 am. Gosh! Almost two hours of delay. The lifes of the two boys maybe can be saved if the ambulans arrive on time.

So, moral of the story is: Drive carefully. Do not speed.

* After this incident, I am a bit afraid of driving. =.= Because I will pass the place everytime I drive back home.

The last one is related to entertainment.

Yoga Lin (林宥嘉) was on the headlines at the entertainment news. The news stated that he was in a fight with some paparazzi. This happened because the paparazzi caught him dating with Gloria Tang (GEM). [I don't know who is the girl...]

I really can't imagine 林宥嘉 hitting someone, even the paparazzi. He looks like a good boy type. Guess that guys will do anything to protect their love ones.

But after the incident, the two of them denied their relationship. Gosh! Do they think that the readers are s*****? They can deny rumours but not pictures as a picture speaks more than a thousand words. There are pictures showing them holding hands, cuddling and Gloria Tang even doing actions of asking a kiss from 林宥嘉. (See the picture above~)

Just admit lah! The more you hide, the more people will dry to dig something from you.

KK Trip

My family and I went to KK on the 25th December 2010 (Christmas Day!) until 30th December 2010.

What did we do there?

The normal things - shopping, eating, watching movie. ^^

Well, mostly me and my mom went for shopping. They guys, which are my dad and my two brothers do not fancy shopping.

I spend around RM 200 for my own things. ^^

Among the shopping complexes in KK, I prefer City Mall. Although City Mall do not have a variety of choices compared to Centre Point or One Borneo, the price is quite reasonable.

And the place is easier to walk as it is not that huge.

It is easy to find food at City Mall too. There are many food outlets which offer food with reasonable prices. We ate chicken rice at 5 Star Hainanese Chicken Rice Shop. On another day, we ate Sizzling Chicken, Spaghetti, Sizzling Lamb, chicken rice, Cantonese Meehoon at The Hut. Tasty... =)

We stayed at Novotel in One Borneo for a day. I didn't buy many things from here. Just books.

Centre Point is one of the shopping complexes that always has many people. I don't think I need to elaborate more. XD

I was able to watch a 3D movie in a cinema the first time. (Happy... ^^)

Dang! Dang! Dang! Is Tron: Legacy.

However, the 3D parts are not that many. (Maybe because of budget constraint.) =.=

Nevermind, but I hope to watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 in 3D too.

Okay, I seriously have to admit that I am in love with BEAST. =)

I first saw them on the day they debuted with Bad Girl. Frankly speaking, I do not like the song Bad Girl, even until now. So that's why I do not pay attention to this group at that time.

Then, they promoted the song Mystery. They managed to 'capture my attention' with their neck-twisting dance. [Whenever I try to imitate their neck-twisting part, my brothers think that I am insane. =.=]

After that, they released their second mini album, Shock to the New Era. I find the song Shock addictive. (Singing: Every day I shock Shock Every night I shock Shock......)

At October this year, they released their third mini-album, Mastermind and promote the song Breath (Soom). I love their 'breathe in, breathe out' dance steps.

And now, they are promoting the song Beautiful, which is in their fourth mini-album, Lights Go On Again. I really love this song to the maximum. Because of this song (So Beautiful My Girl Oh Oh Girl!), I am in love with this group. XP

I always admire and respect groups or singers that can write and produce songs, whether it is composing the melody or writing the lyrics. (Like Jay Chou, Wang Lee Hom, Big Bang, Taylor Swift etc)

I also found out that BEAST can write their own songs too. Their new digital singles, When the Door Closes, Thanks To and Let It Snow were penned by them. Talented yeh!

I also watched BEAST Almighty and Idol Maid. My friend, who is a k-pop addict too, introduced these shows to me. I didn't watch all the episodes though. Hehe... ^^

But thanks to her, I know more about the members' personality offstage.

I followed them since the day they debuted but I only find them 'lovable' recently. Weird, but true.

So, here is a brief description of each members.

Let's start with the leader, Yoon DuJun.

DuJun (DooJoon) was born in July 4, 1989 and is the eldest in the group. He was a trainee in JYP Entertainment. During one of the auditions for JYP Ent, he was in third place. This enabled him to enter a variety show, Hot Blood with other fellow trainees. He was up against Jo Kwon (one of the 2AM members now), a trainee for 7 years in JYP. However, he was eliminated and he later joined his current company, the Cube Entertainment.

He is currently filming MBC's sitcom, All My Love, along with Ga-in of Brown Eyed Girls and Jo Kwon.

He loves to do body gags (weird and funny actions). He loves to play games too. (Guys anyway...) He once lied to his manager that he was going to the convenient store but in the end he went to a nearby cyber cafe to play games. (Tssk, tssk...) Even his tweets are about games. ^^

Now, let's move on to Jang HyunSeung.

HyunSeung is the second eldest in the group. He was born in September 4 1989. He was eliminated from Big Bang in the ninth episode if their documentary.

Next is Yong Jun Hyung.

Jun Hyung was born in December 19 1989. He is the rapper in BEAST. In my opinion, he is a good rapper. But he kind of reminds me of G-Dragon (leader of Big Bang). Maybe it is because of their charisma they shown on-stage.

He was first debuted with the group XING. I don't know what is the reason for the group to disband. But I think he is way better in BEAST. I watched one of the XING's music videos and he hardly had any screen time.

By the way, most of his rapping parts are written by himself. (Talented guy~)

He rapped for HyunA's Change and G.NA's I'll Back Off So You Can Live Better.

Yang Yo Seob, the main vocalist.

Yo Seob was born in January 5 1990. (Oh~ He has the same birthday date as my friend. Just knew it after searching information about him.)

He has great vocals. Due to his baby face, he is always mistaken as the youngest in the group. He loves to act cute too. =)

And I think he is interested in IU. ㅋㅋㅋ (Ke ke ke...)

He has a duet with Dalmation's Drama - First Snow, First Kiss.

Next is Lee Gi Kwang.

Gi Kwang or Ki Kwang (I am also not sure which one) was born in March 30 1990. He debuted as a solo artist with the name AJ before. He promoted the song Dancing Shoes as AJ. Although I am not that interested in abs, I can't deny he has a great body.

He is good in dancing. And he is currently involved in Hot Brothers, a variety show. Anyway, he is funny.

Last but not least, Son Dong Woon, the maknae (youngest member) in the group.

Dong Woon was born in June 6 1991. He was a trainee in JYP Entertainment too. (I really wonder why JYP didn't consider them~ Hmmm...)

He is quite close with Key of SHINee, Nicole of KARA and JinWoon of 2AM. They are the 91-ers.

He has a duet with Davichi's Minkyung - Udon.

- I bet you guys already know that DuJun is my bias in BEAST. Since his description is the longest. Hehe... XD

BEAST really thought me a lesson. When they first debuted, I am quite doubtful with this group as most of the members were eliminated from other companies. But they proved me wrong.

And everytime they brought up this subject, I felt ashamed of myself. Which is why now I will not comment about a group's abilities. =)

I also hope that they get enough rest. Their dark circles under the eyes are so obvious.

Death is totally unpredictable. No one can predict its arrival.

There is a saying that death is the beginning of another life. But death is just so cruel. It leaves people with buckets of tears, tons of past but not future memories and a few days or maybe even months and years of lost and uncertainty.

Which is why I think those who commit suicide are out of their minds. They should be grateful that they have a prefect life. [There are many who want to have a life but are not that fortunate.]

Suicide is an act of selfishness. (I am not saying that I am high and mighty without a sense of selfishness.)

But just because there are some downs in the life, one wants to commit suicide. (Is this acceptable?!!) Well, maybe they think that suicide is the only solution to their problems.

I wonder if these people ever think of the feelings of their loved ones if they are gone. They don't know how suffering it is.

And I also don't get why an 'announcement' should be made to the public regarding the 'suicide plan'. Furthermore, some people even think that suicide is a heroic act. (I wonder what had this society become...) Suicide is definitely not something a hero would do.

* Those who want to commit suicide should read Harry Potter. Harry Potter lost his parents when he was young. During his years in Hogwarts, he faces many (x3) challenges and problems. He also lost his godfather, Sirius Black and the most wonderful headmaster of Hogwarts, Professor Dumbledore. However, Harry never think of suicide and he is a hero. (Oopps... I am so out of topic now. Yeah, I know that Harry is just a fictional character. However, his characteristics shown throughout the story should not be taken lightly. There are many moral values can be found from the characters in the story.)

Cherish life. For those who have the thought of committing suicide, forget about it. It will only cause pain and misery to your loved ones.

Cherish life. Appreciate every moments you spend with everyone. Do not take a person for granted. You never know what will happen the very next second.

Well, I actually finished my exams on the 15th (Wednesday). Totally enjoyed myself after that. Hang out with my friends from afternoon until night on the day I finished my exams. ^^

Prom Night 2010

Prom Night is over...

What should I said? Well, I enjoyed part of it, but I felt like I am working like a slave (Haha... Not that serious lah~)

It didn't go as what had been planned. Last night was a disaster. Maybe because I have high expectations for having a nice prom which I can enjoy myself and have fun with my friends. But in the end, I ended up working. Really felt sorry for Yvonne, Nicole and Virona too.

The food was a disappointment. I never expect the standard would be so low. And the service was very slow. I think I was being scolded (not in front of others, but maybe inside the heart) for not providing a pen. As a matter of fact, I told the waitress already. So, please don't blame me for that. I trying to enjoy my prom anyway~ Geez...

I felt a bit regret for not taking any group photos with my friends. Haiz... =.=

During konvokesyen, must take a lot of group photos. And I swear that I will be running away from any responsibilities on that day. Kekeke... ^^

Jonghyun and Shin Sekyung are dating!!!

Jonghyun and Shin Sekyung are dating, FOR REAL! OMG! I can only say WOWOWOW!

I admit it, my heart did sank a bit after reading the news. But this is a normal reaction, right? A fangirl who is a LITTLE heart-broken because her favourite idol is dating someone. Haha...

But after some thinking, I knew that I should not be so naive. Jonghyun is my idol, not my boyfriend or what-so-ever. =)

I am happy that he is dating someone he likes. (By the way, Shin Sekyung is a well-known actress in Korea too.) He admitted that she is his ideal type before. He is really lucky, as not many people have the chance to date his / her ideal type.

Although many Shawols (SHINee's fans) support this relationship, many are against it. They bashed Sekyung, causing her to close her Cyworld mini-homepage. I really hope that the fans will be rational and realistic. Bashing her will only cause Jjong to be sad or mad. They should realise that idols are humans too. There is nothing wrong for them to date. And as a Shawols, we should be happy for Jjong as he found someone he likes. (Look how happy he is in the pictures above~ The girl is really lucky.)

I was shocked that SM Entertainment confirmed this relationship. I always thought that this big entertainment company in Korea will cover and deny all love relationships involving SM artists. Looks like SHINee is quite powerful in SM.

Good luck to both of them. Don't let the antis bring you two down. Stay strong. I will definitely support Jonghyun-Sekyung. :)

I also hope that Onew, Minho, Key and Taemin can date someone they like too.

* I just saw news stating that Shawols are closing down Jonghyun's fan sites. WHAT?!! Just because he dated. Come on, are you expecting him to be single forever. They are not TRUE Shawols and Blingers.

Japanese Fair in UMS?

My family and I went to the Japanese Culture Carnival at UMS (University of Malaysia Sabah).

I expected there will be many types of Japanese food, but there was only 1 stall selling Japanese food.

And there is no Japanese outfit exhibition. Or maybe I don't know where is the place. To tell the truth, the promotion papers are quite misleading. It stated that the venue is in the car park area, but when we went there, food was the only thing that I saw. (Or maybe I am only attracted to food~)

Bought quite a few things, but all are food and drinks.

Here are a few pictures of the food that we bought, as picture speaks more than a thousand words.

Soba

(My mother went to look up at the internet and then realised that this cold soba noodles are eaten with a soya based dipping sauce (tsuyu). So, that's why it tasted weird. You need a specially-made sauce.)

Papaya Jelly

(Is unrelated to the theme. However, the taste is ok~)

Japanese Curry

(It is not as spicy as the normal curry. But if you ask me what is the main difference, I don't know either. The rice is not cooked well anyway.)

Sushi

(Bought sushi the most. I think this is the most delicious among all.)

There is also Takoyaki (fried or grilled octopus), but they haven't start to grill it yet. And it was already 1 pm ++. =.=

Maybe the night events will be better. Para para dance, flute performance, band performance, geisha fan dance, sushi eating competition etc. (Well, that is what stated on the promotion papers.)

Internet Obsession

My friends also stated that they have a bit of this obsession.

The internet has everything you want. By using the tips of your finger, everything you need is just right in front of you.

There are many search engines for you to look for information - Google, Yahoo!, Bing.

And now there is the Google Instant, everything is totally INSTANT. (If you use it, you will know what I mean. ^^)

Whenever I am online, there will be certain websites that I will visit.

First, is Facebook! It is a place where I sometimes socialize with people, especially my friends. Checking recent news, updating status (depends on my mood though~) etc.

Next is Twitter. The best part about Twitter is you can follow those famous artists. Haha... Just kidding~ You can tweet your feelings with just the 140 characters.

Then is Allkpop. This is the site where I will get lots of K-pop dose to satisfy my addiction towards K-pop (another addiction of mine, but I am better than my friend anyway. ^^).

Youtube is another site that I frequently visit. There are so many videos in Youtube that I can choose from. Entertainment, dramas, music, pa

rodies, educational videos etc. Name it, and Youtube will provide it to you.

Whenever my mood is low, or I am in an angry or nervous mode, Internet is the best cure for me. After browsing through the sites I listed above or some other sites, I will be calmer and can concentrate more on what I am doing. Weird, right?

Internet has become my medicine in curing my mood swings.

Love at first sight

Do you believe love at first sight?

Do you believe love at first sight can last for long?

Well… I believe in love at first sight. But I don’t really believe that it can last for long.

However, I realized that there are some exceptional ones. Love at first sight can definitely last for long.

I watched Strong Heart 强心脏 100831this afternoon. And one of the guests, Se7en shared a small part of his love story.

Se7en's girlfriend, Park Han Byul. She is pretty~

Se7en met his current girlfriend, Park Han Byul when he was a trainee in YG Entertainment. He said that he was 16 years old when he first saw her. He was doing some cleaning up (as a trainee, doing stuffs like cleaning up is normal) at the company and he suddenly noticed a girl practicing. [I bet at that moment, he was mesmerized by her beauty and time stopped for those two. Haha… ^^]

He even said that he can still remember the clothes wore by her at that time. White shirt, yellow pants etc. [Gosh… How sweet it is.]

Actually, they have been dating for eight years already. {8 YEARS?!! Wow…} However, they only revealed their relationship last year when a picture of the two was leaked in the internet.

This means that they have been secretly dating for 7 years! Totally impressive! How can they avoid for not being caught by the media for so long? Idols nowadays should learn some dating tips from them.

It is only a matter of time for them to get married. Wish them all the best! I bet their children will inherit their good-looking genes. It will then be a happily-ever-after ending. =)

P.S. In my opinion, love at first sight only works for certain people, not all…

JPJ Test + Song

I took my JPJ test today. And I passed. (Yeah me!!!) I was so scared that I will not pass~ I got Jalan B and luckily everything went smoothly. =)

Currently in love with the song 'Hope is a Dream that Doesn't Sleep' by Kyuhyun of Super Junior. Never notice that Kyuhyun has such a amazing voice too. (Maybe because I am too obsessed with Ryeowook and Jonghyun's voice~ ^^) The song is a soundtrack for the drama - King of Baking, Kim Takgu. This show is currently showing in KBS World. The lyrics of the song definitely fits the entire drama, especially the feelings of the main character, Kim Takgu.

Korean Wave in Malaysia

I was browsing through some Korean news and I realised that many Korean groups were in Malaysia this year for their album promotions. Compared to last year, the Korean wave in Malaysia is stronger.

If my memory doesn't fail me, this are the Korean groups and artists that came to Malaysia.

First, it was Super Junior (SJ/SuJu). They came to Malaysia for a few times already. This year, they came to have their Super Show 2 concert. And they are coming back again next year for Super Show 3. I didn't go to the concert, but judging by articles or comments from various sites, I bet it was totally a good show~

Next is U-KISS. This was the first time they came to Malaysia. I love how Alexander and Kevin tweeted about their departure from Korea to Malaysia. U-KISS is the short form of a very cool name: Ubiquitous Korean International (Idol) Super Star.

Then is BEAST. BEAST only debuted for one year, but they already have a large fan-base. Frankly speaking, when this group debuted a year ago, I was not that interested. However, after listening to their song 'Mystery', my interest towards them grew more and more. Today, BEAST is one of my favourite groups.

Brian Joo came to Malaysia too. He was the member of the group Fly to the Sky, but now, he is a solo singer.

Wonder Girls (WG) came to Malaysia not for promoting their album, but they came for the MTV World Stage Live 2010. WG is the first girl group that set their foot on Malaysia. This group had quite a success last year. Their song, Nobody was ranked 76th in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. I bet many people can sing along at the chorus part and do the signature move of this song. Not only that, they even toured with the Jonas Brothers in the U.S. However, there was a change of member in WG.

Those group came to Malaysia a few months ago. Here are some others who will be coming to our shore soon.

ZE:A will be having their showcase at 12th September. ZE:A only debuted this year, but they are already have a large overseas fan-base. They went to Thailand and Taiwan before. (If I am not mistaken~)

Kim Hyung Jun of SS5o1 will be in Malaysia at 9th October 2010. I am not sure what he is promoting. I wish to see SS501 performing together~

If I am not mistaken, the middle one is Kim Hyung Jun.

Jay Park, former leader of 2PM is coming to Malaysia too. But I don't know the details.

I wish SHINee will come to Malaysia too. =.= (Jonghyun!~)

Exam results

A few of the exam papers were given back to us.

And I am not satisfied with some of my results.

Chinese = TERUK. The mark is so low.

BM = Haiz... Teacher only gave back paper 1 today. And the mark is much lower than I expected. I aimed for 90, but...... =.= Quite sad with the result. There is not even an A- for me. (Sedihnya saya~)

Mathematics = Okay lah, but I shouldn't make that kind of mistake.

Physics = I'm very satisfied with the mark~ But still can do better. ^^

Chemistry = I'm also satisfied with the mark. =) But I have to work much harder next time.

Add Maths = The questions are easier than those in Semester 1. So, getting that kind of mark is not a surprise. However, it may be a different story when it is trial 2, since all of the chapters will be asked.

Moral = Okay lah~ But I think I don't really deserve that kind of mark. Still... I will definitely remember to be more careful next time.

I think that's all. I haven't tell my mom the results yet. Kekeke... =)

在校内发了第一篇过后,真没想到校内影响力那么大,能传得那么广。于是,我突然有一个想法,想有意识地运用校内的这种影响力,让大家更好地认识马来西亚华人这个群体。当然,以下只是我个人的想法,只代表我个人的立场。我的朋友,请帮忙转载,当帮我一个忙;大马同胞,也请帮忙转载;不认识的朋友,如果你觉得这篇文章稍有可取之处,也请帮忙转载~谢谢大家啊!

第一、尴尬的存在

当我刚到中国时,人们问我的第一个问题总是:“你的汉语怎么说得那么好啊?”紧接着“来到中国多说年了?” 、“难道是从小学汉语吗?”

当时我和中文系的辩论队一起看01年的国际大专辩论赛决赛,马来亚大学的三辩提到“日本军在南京大屠杀凌虐我中华妇女”,有位同学问我“你们也提中华妇女吗?”

从我到中国以来,以上的情况遇上了无数遍,于是我很早就想写一篇文章来告诉大家:马来西亚的华人是一个什么样的存在。这个题目很大,我只能从我切身的体会和感受来写这篇文章。

缘起

先用一个大家都熟悉的历史背景来做开场白。1840以来,中国进入了一个动乱的时期。一方面,好些中国人想往外逃窜;另一方面,西方列强想捉苦力到东南亚地区为他们服务。于是,大量的中国人(尤其是福建、广东一带 )就散布到东南亚各个地区,其中就包括了马来西亚。

尴尬的存在

当人家问我“你的汉语怎么说得那么好啊?”这么一个简单的问题时,我还真觉得这不是一句话就能解释的问题。最简单的回答就是:“因为我祖先是中国人”,但是有人又会问:“那么为什么好多印尼人就不会说汉语了呢?” 问题的复杂之处就在这里。

从迁居到马来西亚,我们的先贤就特别重视中文的教育,通过私塾、宗祠等单位教授三字经、四书五经等教材,后来随着中国教育体制的改革而改革。这个时期,我们的祖先基本上还是以中国人自居,黄花岗七十二烈士就有二十九人是华侨、抗日战争时期全体华侨出钱出力、著名的华侨陈嘉庚创办厦大、集美大学。。。。。。这样的事情不胜枚举。

后来,随着居住马来西亚日久,我们的命运渐渐在这片土地上生了根。从马来西亚(大马)方面来看,我们开始更多地关注大马的政治,与马来族、印度族联手争取从英国的殖民统治中独立。从中国方面来看,周恩来总理提出: 华侨应在其居住地生根发芽。但是,不变的是:我们始终坚持自己的母语教育。

在印尼,由于当地华侨没有组成统一的阵线,于是他们不能拥有中文名字、不能庆祝农历新年;在中国人普遍认为完好地传承了中华文化的新加坡,李光耀总理主动地消灭了中文教育,关闭了新加坡唯一以中文为教学媒介的南洋大学,全体人民学习英文,于是目前多数新加坡人的母语是英语。如今,随着中国的崛起,中文的“经济”价值日益提高,许多东南亚国家才掀起了“汉语热”。唯一的例外是马来西亚,因为我们的先贤从头到尾就没有以“经济 ”作为考量,而是从“民族文化”出发。

那么,难道马来西亚就没有遭遇当地政府的阻挠吗?有!而且很大!马来西亚教育终极的目标是:以马来语为唯一的教学媒介语,换言之,华语、淡米尔语的中小学迟早都得消灭。60年代,大马政府规定:只有以马来语为教学媒介语的学校才能获得政府的津贴,于是许多中文中学纷纷改制,变为政府中学。这时,我们的先贤,以林连玉先生为代表,明确地提出:学习母语是每个民族的天赋人权,即使不要一分钱的津贴,我们也要办独立中学!

于是,马来西亚的华文教育保留了下来,华小以及民办的独立中学、学院形成完整的中文教育的体系,甚至创立了 “全马来西亚独立中学统一考试”,受全球各高校承认(除了马来西亚的大学),我们基本上就是以这张文凭为基础考进北大的。在这个过程中,多少先贤抛头颅、洒热血,林连玉先生被褫夺公民权、好多人被大马政府关押、无数的民众以自己的血汗钱支持独立中学。

但是,来到中国,没有人知道这一切。不止中国,我相信全世界的人都不知道这一切,不知道被我们称为“族魂” 的林连玉,不知道马来西亚的华人用血、汗和泪水来争取母语教育的权利。于是,中国的同学反过来问我们:“为什么你们会说汉语?”时,我真觉得这是巨大的讽刺。

尤其,当中国同学问起我:“为什么你们也说‘中华妇女’?”时------尽管不理智------我还是立时火了:“为什么日军侵袭时,马来西亚的华人要出钱出力?为什么同一年发生缅甸风灾和四川大地震时 ,我们华人对后者的捐款额要远远大于前者,我们难道就没有资格称自己为‘中华民族’吗?”

当我来到北大的图书馆文学图书时,看着满目的“美国文学”、“印度文学”。。。。。。当我看到“新加坡文学 ”,而没看到“马来西亚文学”时,我更感到十分凄凉,以至于讽刺。我们浴血抗战,创建了一套完整的中文教育体系,有完整的“马华文学”,而这一切在中华文化的发源地------中国是得不到承认的。反倒是曾经废除过南大的新加坡,由于其更为强大的国势,反而被认为是在海外完整地传承了中华文化的国家。

“尴尬”之处就在于此:努力地捍卫中华文化,不为马来西亚政府承认,亦不为世人所知,里外不是人。这就是马来西亚华人第一种存在:尴尬的存在。

第二、独立的存在

独立的存在,另一个说法是孤立的存在。“马来西亚华人”这个词儿意味着:我们是马来西亚人,但不是马来人( 中国朋友最大的误会~囧);我们是华人,但不是中国人。于是,一种特殊的群体和文化产生了,独立于世界之林。

我们跟其他马来西亚人(例如马来人、印度人)的差别很明显,黄皮肤在一片黑色的人海之中额外显眼,不同的语言、不同的文化。但是,在日常生活中我们相处得十分融洽-------马来人其实真的是很好相处的,什么种族冲突全是政府搞出来的-------整个群体都受到马来族极大的影响,这就铸成了我们好多的共同点,而与他们的这些共同点恰恰就是我们和中国人的相异之处。

最明显的差异就是口头表达。首先是口音,我朋友总说:“看你的时候一点都不像外国人,但你一说话我们就马上知道了。”在辩论赛场上时,我的一口马来腔更是显得极为突兀。所谓马来西亚口音,大概就是广东腔+福建腔, 翘舌少、轻声较少(个人认为)、没有儿化、语调趋平。其次是词汇,以中文词汇为主体,再加上各种方言、马来语、英语的词汇,各种语气词“啦”、“咯”、“哄”层出不穷。大家有兴趣的话,可以去百度打“马来西亚VS 中国”,马上就能找到许多具体的例子。

但是,我以为:更深层的差距不在嘴巴,而在脑子里。有一次,中文系的徐艺峰师兄领着我们留学生辩论队讨论一个辩题,他最感叹的就是:“如果是跟中国学生讨论,第三个衡量标准一定是‘何者更有利于社会主义的建设’。 ”看看中国同学的课就知道,什么思修、毛概、邓小平思想、军事理论,这些似乎都离我们的生活很远很远。冷战时期资本主义阵营和社会主义阵营的分家就决定了我们意识形态上的不同。

撇开这个问题不谈,即使同样都继承了中华文化,两地的继承也是有所不同的。在这里,大部分的人都信仰“无神论”。但是,我们那里好多人都还信仰观十八罗汉、观音娘娘、关公、济公、齐天大圣等,不一而足。不止大量的神庙,我们还保留了大量的宗祠、会馆,并且还在华人社区发挥着一定的作用。由于我对中国的现代化进程还算有一定的了解,以上这些还不足以让我惊讶,真正让我吃惊的是中国风气的开放。校内校外,情侣相拥亲吻的情况无所不在,这还真不是我想象中的中国。当然,我们那里也有很开放的人,但是可以肯定的是:马来西亚的华人普遍上要比中国人保守得多(嗯~至少跟我的家乡相比)。

此外,许多大马华人一致公认的是:中国学生真的很多“学术牛人”,大体上比我们那儿的人要勤劳的多。中国人多竞争大,我所认识的每位同学一个个都是从高考的腥风血雨中杀出来的英雄豪杰,他们那股永不言倦的冲劲着实让我们折服。相较而言,马来西亚人则比较慵懒,更倾向于做自己喜欢的事、享受自己的人生。因此,我们玩起来比较放浪形骸,比较不顾形象,大声吵、大声笑、大声闹。

既不是马来人,也不是中国人,我们仿佛就是另一种程度上的混血儿,所以或许我们有点孤单。但是,这或许就是我们独特的优势:既传承了悠久的中华文化,又成长在一个相对宽松自由的舆论环境,想法更自由、更多元。所以 ,即使我们这个群体在世界上似乎很孤立,但如果让我有机会选择,我仍然愿意出生在马来西亚,当马来西亚的华人。

第三、悲壮的存在

“宝剑锋自磨砺出,梅花香自苦寒来”,这一句俗语在马来西亚人身上得到绝佳的体现。在过去,马来人、华人、印度人曾经联手争取了国家的独立;但是,随着马来人逐渐独掌大权(再注:对马来人的抨击仅限政治人物),华人、印度人的地位也日渐衰弱。首先,马来语成了唯一的官方语言。再来,马来西亚教育的最终目标定为:“使马来语成为唯一的教学媒介语”。

但是,最大的转折点是六、七十年代的“五·一三事件”。由于华人比较刻苦耐劳,比其他的民族来得富有,无形中造成了民族间的矛盾。出于权力斗争的目的,政治人物鼓动马来人屠杀华人。于是,第二任首相敦拉萨借此宣布国家进入“紧急状态”,顺势上台,颁布了一系列不平等的法令。在经济上,每家公司都至少要雇用30%的土著 (其实就是马来人和其他极少部分的少数民族);在教育上,大学也实施固打制,要保留一定的份额给土著。此外 ,对中文教育的打压更是变本加厉,影响力最大的就是改制事件,即不以马来语为主要教学媒介语的政府中学都领不到政府一分钱的津贴。

打压归打压,但是马来西亚华人依然在暴风雨中茁壮成长。如第一篇所述,我们发展出了一套完整的中文教育,各领域人才辈出。大家熟知的梁静茹、曹格、光亮皆是马来西亚华人;大家现在人手一支的U盘是马来西亚的潘建忠发明的;在华语辩论界上,马来西亚以其犀利的辩风在世界上占有一席之地;如今,马来西亚的十大首富中也大部分是华人。

但是,从这里我们可以看到一些很可悲的现实。大马华人自己创办的独立中学培养了无数英才那又怎样?全世界大部分高等学府都承认我们的统考文凭时,唯有马来西亚政府不承认!马来亚大学在辩坛创出赫赫威名那又怎样?在政府控制下的马来亚大学还曾经试图禁止马大的辩手参赛!梁静茹、潘建忠等辈就更加可悲了,许多人都以为他们是台湾人!潘建忠自己就说过:“如果我留在马来西亚,不可能会有今天的成就。”因为在马来西亚,华人发展的空间有限,报国无门又无法自我实现,不出国发展还能怎样?

于是,马来西亚的华人成长是成长了,可是那跟政府什么毛关系都没有。因为我们政府很慷慨,在全世界都在争夺人才时,我们政府眼看马来西亚出现人才外流的滚滚洪流仍然可以视而不见!在马来西亚大力提倡向外吸纳人才时 ,去看看,有多少马来西亚的人才在新加坡工作!有一次,我们国家的首相到新加坡访问,探访一间医院时,竟然有一半以上的人用马来语跟他致敬!这是何等的讽刺!

我原本把第三篇命名为“令人骄傲的存在”,可是后来改成了“悲壮”。的确,我们有很傲人的成就。可是,在我们有心报效祖国时,却只能被不公平的政策拒之国门。马来西亚那么一块宝地,没有天灾、资源丰富、文化多样, 又居于世界要冲,如果真的有英明的政府,摇身变为世界强国绝非难事!反观新加坡,没有什么自然资源,又是弹丸之地,可是,现在我们只有眼睁睁看着自己的国家成了新加坡的腹地,眼看着从马来西亚分离出去的新加坡一天比一天强大!这种感觉真的很复杂,真的很难以言喻!

谓之“悲壮”,我想应该甚为贴切。

后记

可能很多人很意外,我从小时候开始就自认为自己是个中国人。从小读的书就是《西游记》、《水浒传》、《三国演义》、《杨家将》、《岳飞传》。影响我一生最大的一套书大概就是一套三十本的中国历史漫画图集。在我小小脑海中,出现的总是滚滚的黄土和快马飞驰的勇将。长大了一点,看过《中国人史纲》、《中国寓言》,偶尔会翻翻《唐诗三百首》。

那时,我真的自认为我是中国人,我的文化之根和这里的人是联系在一起的。

于是,我的梦想就是回归中国。英文我认为不重要,因为我要去中国,从没认真学;马文我更是碰都不碰,甚至常以考不好马来文自嘲。可以说,我很偏执。我只有认为有必要的东西我才会认真去学。到了高二,我的国际视野才宽广到足以让我理解英文的重要性,我从那时开始才急起直追,算是打下了一定的基础,但是绝没到“好”的程度。但是,马来文,我始终不愿意去学习,在统考中马文拿了惨兮兮的“B6”还常拿去说嘴。

去年9月,我来到了中国,就读于中国最好的大学,学习着自己最想念的中文系,一切看起来都像梦想成真。但是 ,来到了这里,我才第一次深刻地体会到:我是马来西亚人。我才第一次感觉到:我有可能是爱国的。在祖国成长的每一部分,不管是口音、思维等,都在我的生命里留下不可磨灭的痕迹。即使我可能算是马来西亚里最中国的一小撮人,即使我跟很多中国同学相处得不错,但是我仍然能深刻地体会到我们的不同之处。不管怎么样,在中国, 只要是外国人,就真的只是外国人。

那么我到底该何去何从?这是我一整个学期都在思考的问题。在迷茫中,在摸索中,我才会写出上面的三篇文章, 试图找到马来西亚华人的定位,试图找到自己的定位,然后决定自己以后要到哪里发展。我个人认为,不管是留在中国还是去到西方,就注定了只能收到单方面的信息,很难认清这个世界的真相。此外,留在中国,或许就只能是成为一个尴尬、孤立的个体。去到西方国家,那更是彻底地孤立,存活在一堆思维截然不同的陌生人之中,甚至还可能面临他们的排斥。

可能,我仍然会回去马来西亚,即使我们目前仍然要活在打压之中,即使要存活在一个难以实现自我的空间。但是 ,我或许可以用手中的一票继续给国阵施加那千万分之一的压力,做自己想做的事,做一个开心的人。即使薪水不高,即使物质生活不丰裕,即使很难真正地实现自我,但是只要能在自己最熟悉的家乡、跟喜欢的人在一起,幸福或许就那么简单不是吗?

After reading this article, i could not agree more with the Malaysian part. (I can't give any opinion on the China one since I don't know the culture there.)

As a Chinese in Malaysia, we have to work harder to achieve what we want, especially the pure Chinese. This is an undeniable fact. And we live in harmony and peace with other races. This is also an undeniable fact. Remember how we achieve kemerdekaan from British? It is due to the unity of all the races. (There are all written in the Form 3 & Form 5 History textbooks.) Tunku Abdul Rahman, Tun Tan Cheng Lock, Datuk E.E.C Thuraisingam (if i'm not mistaken), to name a few.

However, there are some politicians who are SO FREE, that they are trying to bring up sensitive issues. (Hello, politicians, you job is to serve the community, not creating tension.)

This picture was taken near the playground that is located behind my house. I think a pipe has burst and water is gushing out. It really is a waste as the water is so clean.

My brothers and I noticed the bursting this morning, around 10.30 am. My mom called JKR to tell them about the burst pipe. We expected the pipe to be repaired by afternoon.

However, it seems no action has been taken. When my brother was playing basketball in the evening, he told me that water is still gushing out.

About 7 hours has passed and no JKR people try to stop or repair it!!

This shows the inefficiency of our so-called Jabatan. Buck it up!!! Or you will lose the trust of the rakyat.

Another new Korean group --- Teen Top

Many Korean groups debuted around this time --- Girls' Day, Miss A, Infinite, SISTAR and the latest Teen Top. (If I am not mistaken, as I seldom pay much attention to K-pop news nowadays.)

SISTAR, Girls' Day and Miss A are like the typical girl groups. Sexy. Cute. What else? I am not liking them now. But Miss A looks really cool. (I prefer those girl groups that debuted last year - 2NE1, T-ara, 4Minute, f(x), After School.) But who knows, I may change in the future.

Infinite and Teen Top are boy groups. For me, these two groups are okay. Teen Top members are so young. I am only 2 months younger than the leader, C.A.P., but older than the rest. (Sad...)

FIFA World Cup 2010 - My 100th post

This is my 100th post and it is gonna be about FIFA World Cup 2010. =)

This year's World Cup is held in South Africa, and there will be 10 venues for this event --- Bloemfontein, Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg (2 venues), Kimberley, Nelspruit, Orkney, Polokwane, Port Elizabeth, Pretoria and Rustenburg. (credits: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_FIFA_World_Cup)

An event that only happens in 4 years, it gains a lot of media attention worldwide. Newspapers, television, internet, radio and everything else cover a lot about this event since a month ago.

The opening game will be South Africa versus Mexico on June 11th 9.00 pm (+8 GMT).

Although I'm not an avid fan of World Cup, but I more or less know something about World Cup. Thanks to the newspapers, televisions and radio. :)

I am rooting for Brazil... kekeke... =) Let's do the Samba dance... haha... ^^

下一站，幸福

终于把下一站，幸福看完了。。。

虽然故事很偶像剧（就是贫穷女遇到富家男~），但害惨我了，害我不知道流了多少的热泪。（不是每一集都在哭啦~）幸好都是我自己在看，不然肯定被笑 / 讲。。。

这部戏有好多经典的台词，以下是我超喜欢或让我流泪的对白~

慕橙：其实你不需要跟我道歉的，因为道歉根本没有用，失去的东西失去了，伤害了还是伤害，道歉并不能让时间倒转，也不能让发生的事情过去，不过既然你跟我道歉了，我接受。因为这样至少证明了，你不是一个大坏蛋。

慕橙：人生不管在多困难的时候，都可以完成最动人的乐章。

至于歌曲，我最喜欢品冠的“我以为”，很符合花拓也在剧里的角色。

吴建豪演得不错~ （但我还是比喜欢安以轩的演技，很自然。）

老实说，我以前对吴建豪没有好印象。当时的他还留着一头长发，一点都不好看。（可能是我不喜欢长头发的男孩子吧~ ）可是他在下一站，幸福很不一样呢，让我对他改观了。。。

他短发的样子很清新，让人看了很舒服。=）

No More Subsidy

Subsidy will be cut one by one. That is what I read from the newspaper.

Sugar price, fuel price and everything else will be increased. Even those education thingy like textbook loan, public examinations fees are only given to poor students.

According to the news reported, it is said that if this kind of subsidy is not cut, Malaysia will be bankrupt in the year 2019. (OMG! That's serious.) Going bankrupt before Wawasan 2020, Tun Mahathir would never imagine this when he set the goal to become a developed country in the year 2020.

Looks like all of us gonna tighten our belts!

Holiday + Thomas Cup

Conclusion for this Semester 1 exam:

SUCKS!!!

I totally blew my add maths and physics papers... Looks like i'm gonna get a C/B. (Sad...) Haiz... But what to do... It's over... No use to cry over a split milk... Just have to work hard next time. =)

I only hope that my other papers are okay... (Praying...)

Okay... Enough of blabbing... Here's the main topic:

Thomas Cup ended on 16 May which China won after defeated Indonesia 3-0. (I know it ended a long time ago. But i just want to post some of my feelings.~)

I was quite disappointed with the performances of Malaysian players. I know I cant play badminton well... But still I would like to comment a few things...

As reported, the president of BAM, Datuk Nadzmi Salleh met the players yesterday to discuss about their POOR performance in the Thomas Cup. Guess what reasons they came out with.

1) Lack of mental strength --- I totally agree with this. The players really lack of mental strength if compared to the players of China, Japan, South Korea.

2) Cultural differences --- I am just wondering what is this had to do with the tame defeat. They may four seasons in their countries. But when they are playing the matches, it is in the same venue.

3) Pressure from media --- Blaming the media?~ Ya, the media always has statements like "They can reach in to the finals." OR "They will have a defeat of 3-2 with China", "It is like the scenario in 1992 and they may be able to bring back the Thomas Cup after 12 years." Even Taufik Hidayat also said that he felt funny when reading the highly-anticipated win of the players from Malaysia newspapers. Well, what can you do. All of us hope the players can bring back the Thomas Cup. I believe other countries are same too... But the players should know how to cope with this kind of pressure.

4) Rapidly improving rivals --- Is this means that the players are not improving despite the training they had undergone? Is it because there are no good coaches? I don't think so. We have our own Misbun Sidek, Rexy Mainaky, Tan Kim Her... They are good...

And our Malaysian players' standard are not equal to the Chinese players' standard. Even if Lee Chong Wei or Koo-Tan are number one in the BWF ranking, Chinese players are still very good.

Finally, it was back today.

There were many comeback stages: Rain, Lee Hyori, 2PM, ZE:A, Secret and others. (can't remember who~)

I'm loving U-Kiss more and more, especially Kevin Woo. =) For me, his voice is the nicest among all the members.

2AM is also another group that caught my attention recently. Really love 'I Was Wrong'.

Lee Hyori, who is known as the sexy diva had her comeback today with Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Want Me Back.

Meanwhile, SNSD had their goodbye stage with Oh! and Run Devil Run. I personally prefer Run Devil Run compared to Oh!. Maybe because I prefer their natural voices than the cute voices...

2PM had their comeback stage too. Without You sound okay for me. However, I am not satisfied with the parts given for Junsu. He is a lead vocalist of the group, but his parts are only: I'm gonna be ok, I'm gonna be ok, Baby Without You, Baby Without You. Come on, his vocals deserve more than this. At least Junho and Wooyoung's vocals are not hidden~

Loving After School. I always love After School's song, from Ah! to Bang! All of them are my favourites~

Rain, the King og K-pop is back too with Love Song~ Not really into this song. But I can't deny the fact that Rain is talented. He can dance and sing well... And plus his muscles are huge. =) This proves that he is a hardworking singer.

Congratulation to Rain for winning this week K-chart. Keep it up~

Once again, I got mad. Reason? Let it be a secret.

I don't know why, but really I can't control my anger that well this year. Gosh... Maybe because I have many things to be in charge with or worried about. Sometimes, students / prefects tell me this, tell me that. Although I will ask other prefects to do it, it is difficult sometimes.

I really NEED an assistant. To be correct, a FORM 4 assistant. When will the principle and the teachers choose one for me?~ And I hope they will choose someone who is strict and responsible. And not because of his / her good academic results.

Sigh... If my semester 1 results are not that good, I think I gonna quit one of my posts. ^^

Someone used my name today. Should I be angry? Gosh... This was the first time someone used my name, in a bad way, just to save herself.

I just realise that the phenomenon of using other people's name is so popular nowadays.

Maybe because they know that if they mention that person's name, they can get what they want. Or maybe because they think they are not that influential enough.

Come on, please grow up, the more you used other's people name, the more people will hate you. (I'm not referring to only one person... Siapa makan cili, dialah rasa pedasnya)

What an unlucky Monday for me. =.=

First, I forgotten to bring my necktie. I didn't put my tie into my schoolbag as what I usually do. Instead, I put it with my blazer. Thus, I forgot to take it with me.

Secondly, I accidentally lost a girl's mechanical pencil. =.=

It may seems like it's a small problem. However, the main problem is that I didn't realise that I have dropped the pencil. And the pencil is something precious to her. This makes me even sadder after hearing this.

I'm so sad... Today is an unlucky day for me.

Self motivation: Tomorrow will be better~ So, cheer up... ^^

Yes!!! St. Anne's marching team won.

I was SO afraid that we won't be able to win. SMK Teknik was smart and a few of us made mistakes, especially during the salute. Gosh...

Until now, I still can't believe that we won. (Is that the reality you wanted - Jonghyun of SHINee)

When the emcee was going to announce the winner, I was nervous that my heart was beating so fast. (Listen to my heartbeat, it's beating for you - 2PM's heartbeat~)

Arlyssa and me was holding hands together as we afraid that if we didn't get it, it may be our fault as we did something wrong during check-up and after check up. After the emcee announced the winner is us, I was totally shocked (Everyday I shock, shock, Every night I shock, shock - Beast's Shock~).

I never expected it will be us. Our team screamed like mad. (Haha... ) Some of them even cried. (It's okay~ we won~) We hugged each other too~ Hehe... ^^

Thanks for those who wished us luck~

A little about K-pop

Things are not looking good in the world of K-pop~

First, it was the leaving of Jaebeom, 2PM leader (for me, he is always the 2PM leader, that's why I didn't refer him as the ex-leader of 2PM~)

The reason Jaebeom left 2PM is still a mystery. (Mystery, Mystery... hehe... ^^ singing Beast's Mystery)

JYPE stated that Jaebeom did something really wrong during the Again and Again days. I really wonder what did he do... =.=

Second, TVXQ / DBSK / 东方神起 / Tohoshinki has disbanded. However, all the members still continue with their individual activities. This group has been very long in the K-pop entertainment. Since 2004, I think...

Although I am not a Cassiopeia (the name for TVXQ's fans), I feel sad when reading the news about the disband. This is because the first korean song I listened to is a TVXQ song. (but I have forgetten the name of the song~) And I always think the Yunho is the most handsome in TVXQ. Hehe... ^^

TVXQ has the largest fanbase worldwide. They even broke many records too. For example, they break a 31 year old record and appears on Peruvian TV. (cr: allkpop) Cool, right?

Anyway, wish all the members the best in the future. I bet Cassiopeia around the world will always keep the faith. Hwaiting... ^^

P.S. Yesterday (08 April) was Bling Bling Jonghyun's birthday... Hope his had a wonderful birthday. Oh ya, and hope he will like the present sfinee had given him: a guitar set.

I'm back~ Haha... Gosh... =.= It has been so long since I last updated my blog.

Just wanna write something~

Actually, I was not angry on Wednesday. (well, maybe a little upset, but not angry~) Haha... The truth is I went out to find teacher. Anyway, thanks Audrey... ^^

However, I still think that everyone should co-operate, so that the activities can be carried out smoothly.~

Okay, enough of babbling. Here is the main point for today's post.

20/1 (Wednesday)

Had cross-country competition. I was very happy because I managed to reach the checkpoint on time (the time limit is 45 minutes) and also got 2 points for my house. Yeah!!! [I ended my cross-country competition with a nice result.]

22/1 (Friday)

Prefects were given instructions to arrange chairs and tables in the hall because there will be a 'Majlis Aku Janji' on Saturday. This ceremony is for the Form 3 and Form 5. The results that were targeted by the students for their PMR or SPM are printed on a certificate and parents are asked to signed the so-called 'Certificate of Targeted Results'.

A big thanks for those who helped in arranging the hall:

- The Prefects, for sure....~

- Form 4A3 (although they did it because of their 'kerja amal', it was still nice of them to help out.~)

- Godric, Toh Yong, Audrey, who helped me and Nicole to carry the chairs to the hall~

- Virona, who was very busy in 'cellotaping' the flags...~

- and to those who I may have missed out their names... ^^

23/1 (Saturday)

Today was the 'Majlis Aku Janji'. Nothing special, really. After parents or guardians signed the certificate, students were allowed to go home. However, prefects were required to stay to help to clear away the chairs and tables.

A huge thanks to the prefects who stayed. Those who didn't stay... I don't know. {Teacher asked where are the other prefects...}

School started for 2 weeks already... School life is quite busy, since this year is the SPM year for me and my friends.

Gonna have Cross-country Competition next Wednesday. So, there was trainning, which started from this Monday. I hope that I can (not can, but MUST) contribute 1 mark for the team. This will be my last year joining cross-country and I wish it will be a good one.

After 20 years...

Congratulations to the Malaysia football team.

They ended Malaysia 20 years of gold drought by winning the SEA Games men football's competition. They defeated Vietnam 1-0 in the final at the Main Stadium of the National Sports Complex in Vientiane, Laos.

At last, the football team proved that they are worth-while. (Is not that I'm looking down at them, is just that there were many negative comments regarding our football team.) They did well to create a big upset and it was done in 'style'.

They didn't really 'score' a goal actually. One of the Malaysian players tried to score, and Vietnam's Mai Xuan Hop accidentally kicked / pushed (don't really know what appropriate verb to use, cause it happened too fast...) the ball into the goal. That's how Malaysia won. =.=

However, who cares... In the end, Malaysia won. That's the fact. A fact that can't be changed. Lady Luck was besides Malaysia this time.

Anyway, congratulations to Malaysia team again... Hope they continue their fighting spirit and play better in the future and prove to people like me that there's still hope for Malaysia football team. Fighting...

Epik high is epic

Gonna talk a bit of Korean singers here. Hope you guys won't get annoyed. =)

On th 10th December, there was a music awards in Korea - Golden Disk Awards. So, I watched a few of the performances by the singers in Youtube.

There was a performance that really caught my eye. It was the performance by Epik High. They performed High Technology + Wannabe. The performance was so cool. And the song 'Wannabe' is very catchy. This was the only performance that got my head nodding. ^^ Most of the singers (2PM [1:47 & 3:21], 4Minute [2:38], SHINee [2:25 & 4:28], Super Junior[3:41 & 3:58]) stood up and sang with them. It's nice to see those singers enjoying themselves. :) The actions at 2:53, 3:41 and 4:40 were funny. Haha... I was laughing when watching those parts.

Here's a brief info about Epik High:

Epik High consists 3 members: Tablo (29 years old), Mithra Jin (26 years old), DJ Tukutz (28 years old). All three members can sing, write lyrics, compose and arrange music. (Cool, right? Not many can do that.) The group debuted in 2003 with the album Map of the Human Soul. (It has been 6 years... Time flies...)

KLWBC 2009

I watched The Breakfast Show in NTV 7 this morning and the hosts introduced an event - Kuala Lumpur World Marching Band Competition (KLWMBC) 2009.

The competition has been around for 3 years and this time it's going to be bigger and better. The KLWMBC is held in Stadium Kuala Lumpur from 12 - 20 December 2009. There will be 25 bands from 12 countries showing off their skills in band marching.

The organiser for this grand event is Present Malaysia Productions Sdn. Bhd and it's supported by various organisations and ministry - Ministry of Federal Territory, Ministry of Tourism Malaysia, Ministry of Education, Kuala Lumpur City Hall and a few more.

Imagine 25 bands from 12 countries: Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, South Africa, USA, Netherlands, Denmark, China, Singapore, Italy and Hong Kong competing with each other. It must be great. I bet the event will be very colourful, with those colourful outfits and choreography that will leave you wondering "How did they do that?". Oh gosh, really hope that I have the opportunity to watch. If not this year, maybe next year or the following year. =)

2010 SPM

I watched the news on NTV 7 just now and there was a news that caught my attention. It was about the 2010 Sijil Penilaian Menengah (SPM). Education Minister Tan Sri Muhyddin Yassin said that SPM candidates can take two additional subjects but the exam results will only be based on the 10 main subjects. (Source: Click here.)

Ok, so now the Cabinet decided to change their decision that has been made in June. Should I be happy?~ I don't know. Why can't they make up their mind earlier? I decided to drop EST (English for Science and Technolgy) and now this.

What should I do?~ Stick to 10 subjects or add another more. (Doink...) I just dont know... My mom also asked me if I want to take another subject. Haiz... I'm still in a confused mode.

Decisions are hard to make, especially those concern your future...

I finished my Eclipse today. Finally... The storyline is good. (Of course, Stephenie Meyer is the author. ^^)

But there are some parts that I don't really like.~ (just my opinion only...)

I don't like the part where Bella confesses her love towards Jacob. (Am I jealous?~ Nah... Just feeling unfair towards Edward.)

Although Bella chooses Edward in the end, I think she's selfish for wanting Jacob to be with her too. Ok, seriously, I know this is just a story. But I still feel it's unfair for Edward. He loves Bella SO MUCH and is willing to sacrifice everything just for her (I know Jacob will do the same too~). He's also so kind to Bella. He is not even angry with Bella when she kisses Jacob. Imagine if the situation is reversed. Bella and Jacob are so in love with each other and one day she says she loves Edward and kisses him. Will Jacob be as forgiving and as nice as Edward?~

OMG, is there such a nice guy as Edward Cullen in this world? ~ Haha... Just imagining AGAIN... =)

Guess that I'm in Team Edward then. ^^

I have no idea what to write this day. Maybe lack of creativity this few months. (Blame it on creativity... Haha... ^^)

Allow me to brief what I had done in this 2 weeks holiday. (Hope is not boring...)

I went to KL for 4 days with my family. KL is really a shopping heaven. Haha... I really shopped a lot. If in Labuan, I rather stay at home, watching tv or doing my homework. I will think twice even if going to Financial Park. However, it's really very different in KL. Too many shops to shop but too little time and too little money to spend. Hehe... I don't know how my life will be if I live in KL.

After coming back from KL, I went to Terengganu with my friends for Karnival 3P. The trip was fun but the journey was damn tiring. About 10 hours from LCCT to Primula Beach Resort (the place where we stayed). The beach resort was definitely nice and comfortable. Unfortunately, it's monsoon season in Terengganu. So, many activities that were planned had to be cancelled or being reduced the time.

I tried online shopping. Hehe... ^^ The bags that my friend and I ordered arrived safely. (Luckily...) And the postage fee is quite cheap. RM 12 for 3 bags, which means only RM 4 for 1 bag. The total cost of 1 bag is not up til RM 40 and there are many choices to choose from. Unlike in the shops, only certain bags can be found. But I haven't started using, maybe will keep it until Chinese New Year. ^^

Finally updated my blog, it's been 1 month already. Although it's holiday, but I feel very lazy to update my blog. Laziness that's inside me is getting 'stronger and stronger'. Can I control it? ~

My blog is alive again. ~~ I had left it 'dead' for 1 month.

Today, Yvonne, Nicole, Rina and me entered a quiz competition related to tourism in Tiara Hotel. We got 3rd overall. (Not bad lah...) SMKL was very good. Almost every question they knew how to answer. And they were also very confident when answering question. Can see that they were well-prepared for this competition.

Quite disappointed as I can't go for the beach cleaning that was organised by the Rotarians today. I had to go for the quiz. Situation like this always happen to me. Two activities are being held on the same day and I can only choose 1. If only I have the power to go back to time... (just dreaming... ~~)

On last Thursday, Malaysia's first Angkasawan, Datuk Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor came to Labuan. People were screaming when they saw him. Really OMG! I am not a fan of his, but I am really impressed of him. He talked about life on space, his training before going to space and so on. Overall, he only talked about 45 inutes. The Q & A session was the weirdest. All sort of questions were being asked. Haiz...

I think that'a all for today. ^^

旅游部长黄燕燕出席一个美食节目时表示，海南鸡饭、肉骨茶、辣椒螃蟹、椰浆饭等起源于马来西亚，但长久以来找新加坡等国家长期[掠夺]，决定在三个月内将有关美食申请专利权，将之列为马来西亚美食。

部长还说：“我们不能起学让其他国家掠夺我们的美食，辣椒螃蟹是马来西亚的，海南其但是马来西亚的。我们必须为我们的美食维权。” (“We cannot continue to let other countries hijack our food. Chilli crab is Malaysian. Hainanes chicken rice is Malaysian. 听到这样的消息，谁不生气。所以新加坡、香港和大马就这样掀起了一场 [美食维权]。

新加坡人士认为，辣椒螃蟹及海南鸡饭等美食早已被公认为狮城的代表菜肴，“怎么会突然变成了马国美食？”，而2005五年上映的华语电影 “海南鸡饭” ，也是以新加坡为故事背景，透过海南鸡饭这种新加坡街知巷闻的食物，阐述人与人之间的关系。

香港又称，正统的海南鸡饭是来自中国的海南。新加坡和马来西亚的海南鸡饭是海南人搬迁到当地才有的。我很赞同这个说法。如果要品尝真正的的海南鸡饭，一定要到海南岛。

对于这美食争夺权，我个人觉得很*谬、很*笑。美食本来是让人享受，让人吃了回味无穷。

与其把时间浪费在这 ____ (依照个人的看法，填上一个适当的词语吧) 的行为，不如好好去想怎样把大马的文化在无批评、无羞辱、无取笑的情况下扬名国际。

Taking about ambition, to tell the truth, I really know what to become after finish studying. After viewing Godric's blog, I found out he's really very passionate about his ambition.

I told my mother before that I want to become a journalist. I know it sounds weird as I am in science stream.

I feel that it's fun to interview people, especially interview those successful people. Or being the first one to know information about some 'Hot Issues' that happen inside or outside of the country. If you have the chance, you may even get to participate in international events. [Looks like I am going too far. Haha...]

We had our oral test this morning. Teacher randomly picked the students and I was one of the 'lucky' one. So, I went up to give a 'talk' on global warming. The text was about 3-minute length.

After I finished, teacher said: "I will give (my name) quite high marks because she represented the school's debate team this year." OMG!! I was so shocked. Not because of the marks given by teacher, but what the teacher had said. To tell the truth, I felt guilty and unhappy. I felt it is not fair for the other students who prepared and worked hard for this oral test. I may be in the debate team, but there are others who are better than me.
